Deciding to take a leap and open a studio for sound healing stirs up all kinds of imposter syndrome and anxiety. I found myself moving from a place of scarcity, trying to strong-arm this project into being. Even with all the experience I have trusting in the Divine, I still worry that I will fail.
Being a spiritual person does not exempt you from worry and stress.
So last week, I dove back into a book called Outrageous Openness by Tosha Silver. And I remember that the perfect solution is already available. Strong-arming the situation and feeling forced to take on more debt is not the way to create a sanctuary.
I revisit this prayer and call in Divine Order. "Please show me Your Divine Will in this matter and send me a clear sign that gives me the proper direction. And if for some reason I'm about to head the wrong way, please, please stop me." I use this prayer anytime a big thing comes up. Even when I know in my gut what to do, my mind and ego step in to protect me.
This dream feels big, so I also pray, "If You wish this written, I cannot do this on my own. You know my limits. But the perfect route is already selected, so if this is Your Will, fling open the doors. If this is meant to be, please bring the right help."
I remember that I've done big and scary things before.
This is the space.
There is room for growth and expansion here. I envision sensory swings for sound baths, drum circles and hand pans, twinkle lights, and breezy fabric.
There is a space for private sessions, too.
Can you see yourself walking through these doors?
Please support The Sound Healing Center of Lexington! If just 200 people who have attended a group or private session donated $25, we would quickly meet our goal of $5,000.
As I sit in my potential studio space, I draw a card. I am asking, once again, for Divine Guidance.
All right then.
I trust that everything is unfolding exactly how it's meant to unfold.

Hi Reader, As many of you know, I am a mother of three. I have spent much of my healing journey reconciling my spiritual path with my desire to be fully present with my family. Motherhood has a way of becoming all-consuming, yet spiritual teachers recommend hours of meditation and introspection. It has become evident to me that even in spiritual circles, the responsibilities of parenting are at odds with recommended practices, even though parenthood awakens us to deeper levels of intuition...
