Three Important Things

Hi Reader,

When I decided to answer the call and open The Sound Healing Center of Lexington, I didn't realize that certain things would become so important to me.

Maybe it's my background in tourism and hospitality, but it became clear in my early discussions that primarily featuring "Kentucky-made" practitioners was high on my list. I want people to know that sound healing isn't something that can only be found on the West Coast, New Mexico, Arizona, New York, Maryland, or Florida. We've had sound healers from here in Kentucky for a long time – you probably didn't know it.

Another crucial thing for me is infusing this business with uplifting vibrations. So, while I strive for consistency, I also honor the ebbs and flows of feminine energy. Which means I'm not going to hustle and show up even when it doesn't feel good.

The final "rule" I created is that every workshop and event will have elements of sound healing. It may seem obvious, but I don't ever want it to get lost that we are, first and foremost, a Sound Healing Center. My core mission is to cultivate a sanctuary for healing through sound.

BREATHWORK with EFFIJI BREATH

Saturday, February 10 | 2:00pm | $75

I am excited to bring Sarah Charmoli back for another Breathwork session! If you haven't experienced breathwork, it can be somewhat challenging to explain.

You consciously breathe to the sound of rhythmic drums as Sarah guides you in the technique. The simple act of breathing unlocks physical sensations, emotions, and limiting beliefs and can even help you break through barriers to healing.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, "Breathwork, then, is a way to activate your body’s parasympathetic nervous system and help you de-escalate and de-stress. That can also lead to all kinds of positive feelings."

What to Expect:

  • Instruction on the Effiji technique
  • Immersive practice to face and move beyond invisible obstacles
  • A restful sound bath to conclude our time together

Effiji is more than just a breathwork technique—it's an active meditation. Dive deep into the power of breath as the key to healing and unlocking true freedom. Remember, breathing into resistance is a form of acceptance, allowing repressed energy to flow.

The mind may question, but trust in the process. Let's breathe, explore, and liberate together. Bring your friends and join us for this incredible experience!

WEEKLY SOUND BATH with PETE WALLACE

Sunday, February 11 | 5:30pm | $25

Join Pete for an enchanting Sound Bath featuring handpans!

The convex steel drums, played with gentle hands, produce resonant and melodic sounds, creating a captivating and soothing musical journey.

It's a passive activity, so no experience is needed. Dress in comfortable attire and bring anything you desire to lie comfortably on the floor for about an hour. We have yoga mats, blankets, blocks, hammock swings, and chairs.

Allow the resonant tones of sacred instruments to wash over you, melting away tension and leaving you serene.

Hi Reader, As many of you know, I am a mother of three. I have spent much of my healing journey reconciling my spiritual path with my desire to be fully present with my family. Motherhood has a way of becoming all-consuming, yet spiritual teachers recommend hours of meditation and introspection. It has become evident to me that even in spiritual circles, the responsibilities of parenting are at odds with recommended practices, even though parenthood awakens us to deeper levels of intuition...
